Induswrote:Any one familiar with these? I would appreciate any feed back,ThanksSheriHii recently bought a kit containing two of these strobes and have been pleased with their performance. They are quite strongly built and come with a reflector, modelling light, built in slave and stepless output. At 300w they are more than enough for portraits and small groups, and the output is consistant and reliable. They have a range of reasonably priced accessories which allow you to modify the light in a number of ways. Being honest if I had had more money to invest I probably would have gone for a better known name, but I am very happy with my purchase and consider them excellent value for money.hope this is of some help, if you need any further info do not hesitate to ask,Best wishesJohn.
Hi - I wanted one of these, and found the following by ringing Interfit that they don't distribute them anymore. The interflash digitflash was imported by INTERFIT from the far east, about 2004. They were made in powers up to 1000 joules or watt/seconds. Although the format of the flatpanel flash is a brilliant idea, they told me that the product was unreliable, and used to frequently break down, so INTERFIT stopped distributing them.Having said that, I saw one at the local supermarket the other day, and the young lady photographer told me that they were marvellous, and she had never had a problem with hers, though some had. I worry that if a problem occours, you may not be able to get spares.
I would still like to buy one, so if anyone finds more, please let us know. It's possible that they are still made, but Interfit won't tell me any more about them - they are concentrating on their own conventional studio flash. Sunpak were supposed to be making a flat panel flash, but it's no longer on their site. One American website is still showing them for sale, somewhere in Texas, and I have emailed asking if still available, so that could be followed upgood luck!
I would definitely check how easy/hard it is to change the bulbs if anything were to happen!I have 2 interfit colorflash 300s and one fell on a location shoot a few months ago and I have still not gotten it fixed because no one seems to know how without charging an arm and a leg. Interfit has been giving me horrilbe customer support and one girl was even so sarcastic in her response I about lost my mind. The only suggestion was to send it back to some New York company to have them fix it. The problem is that the bulb is sodered onto the unit and only a 'Trained professional' can replace them??? The local shop told me it would take them at least 4 hours to replace the bulb? So, i'm saving for another light set. It's too bad because i've liked these lights! I didn't read this until very late - about two years, to be exact. The interfit range is based in England,is the website to look at, contact details as below:Interfit Photographic LimitedUnit 4 Cleton Business Park,Cleton Street,Tipton,West Midlands,DY4 7TR.Telephone: 0121 522 4800Fax: 0121 557 2221Contacts also [email protected]@interfitphotographic.comI hope you have not destroyed it, nor had a nervous breakdown, and that this is of some helpbest RegardsAdrian. As a comment, I have found interfit to be a pain as well.

I wanted to buy one of their Interfit Digitflash Panels, a flat studio flash, about 2.5 feet wide, by about 2 feet tall, with a perspex front panel, metal frame, which looks like a widescreen TV, and about 4 inches deep front to back. They have a large U - shaped brackt, which attaches easily to a standard lighting stand, and have flash triggers in them.Well, I went all over the world to find out where to get them - B&H in New York. Patterson here in england, back to a company in Taiwan or somewhere called ekasilp, and finally, after buying a duff one on ebay, I find the B&H have had them all the while, and you can replace the flash tubes or modelling lights yourself. They even have cases to carry two; They are supplied by Interfit, head office in Britain. But go to the Interfit site, and it does not show them at all, yet B&H can get them to order. I just dont understand them at all - you would think that Interfit would be interested in the customer, but I have a sneaking suspicion that is not the priority.

May 21, 2019 Inter fit Color Flash 150 Oct 27, 2009 I have this old flash - Inter fit Colorflash 150, & the only way to fire it wirelessly with a Canon 580exII is if I disable the wireless function on the flash setting on the camera. This is ok if I only want this flash to fire, but usually I'd.
My previous posting should help if you want to contact them. But remember - the customer is always right - because they are the only ones who will buy your stuff - but only once. I used to sell photo gear for a big company in England, but you need to ask all the questions about the gear BEFORE you part with your money, as some imported items may have wierd and hard to find parts, and you may have to buy another item as a thing as daft as a screw or a bulb or a knob will be so hard to get hold of, or so expensive, that it is cheaper or more wise to cut your losses and buy a new item, with less problem parts.I would love to open a shop with easy to use, and sensible items on sale, but will have to leave it up to someone else to do it. Best of luck with your purchases, though!
